This work was commisioned by the Order of Discalced Carmelites of England and Wales.
During September-October 2009 it accompanied a small shrine containing relics of Saint Thérèse of Lisieux
during their tour visiting eleven cathedrals and other churches and monasteries in England and Wales.
Film Director Michael Whyte made a film of the tour entitled 'Relics and Roses',
which includes interviews with the Archbishop of Westminster and the Dean of York.
Technique: Egg-tempera and water-gilding on gesso prepared wooden panel 74cm x 65cm
It is presently housed in the Carmelite Priory, Boars Hill, Oxford.
